Karen and Neil, Venice civil wedding

Venice, January 8th 2010.

For years we had dreamed of getting married in Italy and particularly the beautiful and romantic city of Venice, but knew we needed lots of help to complete all the legal documents to make sure everything went smoothly so we could relax and enjoy our special day. Many people warned us (even trained lawyers) to make sure everything was properly and accurately completed to ensure the day ran smoothly.

From our initial enquiry via the internet through to the actual day itself we have had nothing but friendly and very efficient support from Exclusive Italy, and in particular Martina with her emails always showing a :)!!! Martina became my internet friend and confident, as I chose my bouquet and gave her details of the all important dress. I had to rely entirely on her as we were so far away.

We wanted a very quiet and personal wedding with just 2 witnesses, but also sneakily wanted that little bit of attention too which Martina provided.

The whole day was absolutely magical and everything went like clockwork (apart from the rain – but that wasn't Martina's fault!) It was lovely to meet our Exclusive Italy interpreter, Chiara, the day before the wedding who came out of her way to meet us at the hotel the night before, and re-assure us everything was fine.

The whole experience from planning right through to the perfect flowers all arriving on time was wonderful, and a very big thanks to Martina who left me feeling so relaxed about the whole thing.
