Campidoglio Wedding in Rome
The most elegant marriage hall in Rome where civil weddings are celebrated is located on the Capitoline Hill, close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. We absolutely love this magnificent setting for an exchanging of vows in Rome that is legally recognized in your country.
The Palace of Campidoglio is located in a splendid square conceived by Michelangelo, who also designed the two palaces on the opposite sides of the square, whose divergence creates a widening perspective which is most effective. It is reached by the grand flight of steps known as the "Cordonata", built to a design by Michelangelo especially for the triumphal entry of the Emperor Charles V in 1536.
Campidoglio Wedding hall is a very formal hall, also known as the “Red Hall” of Rome, with rich red damask tapestry and gilded decors.
Weddings are celebrated:
- Friday from 9:00am to 12:30pm and from 4:00pm to 6:00pm;
- Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm and from 4:00pm to 6:00pm;
- Sunday morning only.
From the Capitoline hill there is a terrific panoramic view over the domes of Rome and the Roman Forum. The civil wedding ceremony at Campidoglio is a short formal ceremony but a photo service is definitely enriched by this amazing backdrop.
