Villa Pliniana is located on Lake Como in northern Italy. It is a place with 2000 years of history located just a few minutes from Como city, the oldest and largest villa on the lake with a really fascinating history. Some of its guests were quite famous: Leonardo da Vinci, Napoleon, Alessandro Volta, Percy Shelley, George Byron, Alessandro Manzoni just to mention some names. The Villa has beautiful architecture with high vaulted ceilings and is wonderfully furnished with masterpiece paintings, furniture, and pianos. It is surrounded by thick vegetation since it is set in the rock. Villa Pliniana stands alone in its luxury, elegance, and splendor. There is a beautiful Loggia that separates the main floor into two large living rooms that are usually the setting of Gala Dinners. In the center of the Loggia, there is a statue of Neptune holding the trident. From this point you can admire the beauty of the lake: for this reason, many ceremonies are organized in this area.

Recently the interiors of Villa Pliniana have been fully renovated according to the project of Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, who has redesigned part of the interiors, adding a touch of contemporaneity while preserving the beautiful original details of the Villa.

Villa Pliniana: wedding ceremony and reception

Symbolic wedding ceremonies can be organized in the Gardens or in the enchanting Loggia with a maximum of 150 guests. Gala Dinner can take place in the ballrooms at either side of the Loggia, each with a capacity of approx. 100 guests, or in the Terrace in front of the façade with 120 guests. Dining in the gardens is also possible for groups of max 300 guests. Dancing is allowed outside or inside with no restrictions thanks to the Villa’s secluded position.

Accommodation

Villa Pliniana has 17 luxurious Suites accommodating 33 guests. On the property, there are two villas, one with 3 bedrooms, the other with 4 bedrooms. Facilities include a spa, swimming pool, helicopter pad, and boat dock. Hotel Sereno has 30 rooms on the banks of the lake and is located a few minutes drive from Villa Pliniana.
