The name "Brown" was given to the castle recalling the owner, Montague Yeats Brown, English Consul in Genoa, from 1867 to 1949. The Consul had two pines planted on the main terrace for him and his wife for their wedding day. What a nice setting for your civil wedding ceremony. Weddings at the Castle Brown are celebrated from Monday to Saturday, morning time only, no Sunday weddings allowed. The sworn declaration has to be done a couple of days before the wedding.
