Just around the corner from the beautiful baroque city of Lecce, Masseria Borgo Mortella is immersed in nature, surrounded by nearly twenty-five acres of olive trees.

This authentic family owned masseria offers suites and apartments as well as outdoor and indoor spaces that are typical of an Italian borgo (small rural village), making it the ideal setting for celebrating your special destination wedding in Apulia.

Wedding ceremony and reception

Masseria Borgo Mortella offers magnificent spaces, both indoors and outdoors, that are apt to hosting events. As you enter the property though a magnificent antique gate, the main courtyard opens up in front of your eyes. An intimate family church is located in the courtyard, ensuring a beautiful backdrop for a symbolic wedding ceremony. Another eligible space for the ceremony is the pine grove, located at the back of the property, with a dedicated entrance.

A rich Apulian cocktail with food stations can be organized by the pool, a small corner of paradise immersed in a “secret garden”. One of the two magnificent courtyards can host the wedding dinner, while the Underground Olive Mill can be turned into a club for partying all night. Alternatively, couples can choose to dance by the pool and leave the olive mill as a backup in case of bad weather (maximum capacity 130/150 people seated, depending on seating arrangements). The masseria also features two indoor halls that can also serve as “Plan B”, in case of bad weather, and can seat up to 120 people all together.

Wedding menus are provided by a professional catering company of your choice, you can rely on us to identify the best caterer according to your preferences.

No music curfew for parties, as all the rooms of the masseria will be booked exclusively for you.

Accommodation

The 5 rooms of the masseria have been remodeled and obtained from the old grounds. The rooms are very spacious and fully equipped with modern day comforts. Two junior suites, two suites and a Master suite are the ideal accommodation for the spouses and their immediate family. Many different accommodation options can be found in the city of Lecce, just 10 minutes away, to suite all your guests’ needs and budgets.
