The wedding of Frank and Jessica in the charming Villa di Ulignano near Volterra is amazing for many reasons: an elegant and refined style combined with a lush natural setting in the wonderful Tuscan countryside, a 17th century Villa amid a romantic park, and above all a couple who wanted to celebrate their wedding in an unique way, surrounded by their dear ones. This villa is available for exclusive rental, so they could stay there with their family and friends, an intimate party of 40 people.

Frank and Jessica got married with a civil ceremony in the frescoed Palazzo dei Priori, the medieval town hall of Volterra. The symbolic ceremony took place outdoors in the magnificent park of the Villa.

The ceremony venue was decorated with two large vases filled with hydrangeas and roses in white and pink, and cascading green amaranthus.

Cocktail hour was held in the garden in front of the Villa. The guests could choose among many tasty appetizers: a caprese buffet with various kinds of mozzarella and tomatoes, summer soups served in small cups, fried delicacies, shrimp tails with bacon, spicy meat skewers and many other delicious snacks…

In the meantime the bridal couple was having the most romantic photo session in the park and the surrounding countryside. What a gorgeous background for their romance!

The inner hall was decorated with a spectacular flower arrangement in a palette of white, ivory and pale pink over champagne satin tablecloth. Small candles, candelabras and an ancient chandelier provided a romantic lighting.

Wedding dinner menu

• Starter: homemade pasta stuffed with ricotta cheese, thyme and marjoram with Parmigiano zabaglione;
• First course:
Carnaroli risotto with mushrooms;
• Main course: beef fillet with Chianti Classico OR champagne and lemon sea bass fillet on bed of olive oil vegetables;
• Side dishes for both the main courses: crunchy potatoes with sage, vegetables “caponata” with olive oil (sautéed mixed vegetables).

After dinner the party moved to the patio in front of the Villa, where the caterers prepared the wedding cake directly in front of the guests. The cake was a delicious millefeuille filled with chantilly cream and chocolate chips, covered with fresh strawberries. The children looked quite impatient!

The party continued until 2 am with the music of the DJ.
